Nokia Android Honeycomb tablet is latest odd OS rumor
Nokia continues to insist it has no plans to deviate from its two-prong Symbian/MeeGo platform strategy, but the rumors that they’re looking to Android or Windows Phone 7 just keep on coming. Slipped quietly into a DigiTimes report on Android Honeycomb tablets is the suggestion that Nokia has been working with Google – and is [...]

MacBook Pro, Android join Kindle on Amazon’s top 2010 list
Amazon wrapped up the year on Thursday with word that itself and Apple topped the lists of its most popular items of the year. The Kindle with Wi-Fi unsurprisingly topped both the bestseller and wish list charts for electronics, but Apple had unusual success in computers. The 13-inch MacBook Pro was both the bestselling notebook on Amazon and the most wished for, although the most gifted was a …

The HTC Thunderbolt will be revealed January 6th

Author admin    Category HTC, News     Tags , ,

HTC just announced on their site that they will reveal a new 4G capable handset on January 6th, leading to rumors that the handset to be announced is the HTC Thunder (previously known as the Droid Incredible HD and Mecha), due to the timing of the announcement, as well as the text in image, saying that this handset will be “the first to 4G, again.”

htc thunderbolt

Since the HTC EVO 4G was the first handset to “4G”, if they are going to proclaim their new handset will be the first to 4G, it would have to be a signifcant increase in technology, which seems to indicate they are talking about LTE, Verizon’s 4G network.

The timing of the smartphone announcement coincides with a press conference by Verizon at CES on the 6th. Adding to the clues is the fact that the HTC Thunder/Droid Incredible HD/Mecha was previously seen with built-in 4G support.

The HTC Thunder will likely not be the first LTE handset on Verizon for very long, as apparently an LTE version of the Motorola Olympus is in the works, as well as an LTE-capable phone from Samsung.

Internal specs will likely be very similar to the Desire HD that launched earlier this year, except of course for the addition of LTE capability.

Check out the announcement page for the phone here.

Android Honeycomb to be Version 3.1 from Google

android honeycomb

Google is believed to be calling the next version of their mobile OS Android Honeycomb.  This new version is set to release in February, and will be following the latest Gingerbread update.  However, I have a Droid Incredible and have yet to receive the Gingerbread update.  It seems to me that Google is rolling out updates faster then we receive them almost!

The details of the Honeycomb update are sketchy, and no one really knows what will be new in this version.  Some actually speculate that it will be for Android powered tablets like the Android Apad only.  Whether this is true or not, nobody really knows yet.

We’ve contacted Google to see if we could get any details at all on Honeycomb, but the reps let on like they don’t even know what it is and won’t release any version numbers or anything.

So who knows what Google has up their sleeve for this new Android phone update.  We’ll have to wait until February to see!

Hi there, I’m going to write this in layman’s terms as I am not sure how much you know about PC’s and cell phones. But this should be good general knowledge that will get you where you need to go.

First, buy a micro sd card for the sd card slot in your phone they are very cheap. You can go to Walmart where they have micro sd cards and sell cell phones, so maybe someone who is kind and works in the electronics department can help you insert the card if you get confused.

Once the micro sd card is in your phone, the pictures should load into the card. You should be able to get the photos onto the micro sd card easily by going into your photos and looking at help menus, etc if they don’t load automatically. Once the photos are on the micro sd card, then take that card out and insert it into your computer’s micro sd card reader.

OR….. if your cell phone has a usb cable and then you plug the phone directly into your computer (using the usb cable), a dialog box should pop up allowing you to view and manipulate the info from your micro sd card in your phone.

Hope this helps. Remember phone stores and electronics departments are always filled with knowledgeable and friendly people willing to help.
