Android Phone Question?

Question by Aznable: Android Phone Question?
i have an LGP500 and recently found .apk files running around the web, i found out that you can copy and install this using your USB driver and manually install them in your phone after.

Question is: Are they safe? Can this phone be infected or is prone to scam-like things (like the uploader always knowing where they are) or will my personal passwords be sent to them, etc2x.

If im worried, then i should just stay away, right? Well, hope anybody can shed some light in this.. dilemma of some sort

Yes, you can do that. You can also just use your phone’s browser to download and install them directly, just check the “unknown sources” under settings > applications.

No one can tell if those .apk files are safe and you’re not being specific about the sites you’re getting them from. If you’re worried, just download those that are in the Market.
