Yes you can use it in Montreal- calls are 59 cents a minute, or 20 cents if you add the international plan. Texts don’t cost anything extra. Data is billed at a penny for every 5 KB if you don’t block it.

Click the link “Roaming with Sprint device”, select Canada, and it will provide you with all the information about using your phone in Canada.
Be careful with the “special voice pricing” and the “international plan” that Nathan indicated. When I worked for Sprint, many of my colleagues gave callers the wrong international plan! One plan is set up for using your phone in Canada; another is a reduced pricing for calling from United States to Canada. If they put the wrong plan on your phone, you will have plenty of grief on your next bill!
In fact, to be on the safe side, when you call Sprint, request their “Worldwide Care” department. This is a team of agents who are specifically trained in assisting customers with international roaming questions. They are far more reliable in assisting you with this issue than the agent you would get if you dialed *2.
PS:
Data roaming in Canada is actually cheaper than data roaming in the United States! Has something to do with the money exchange rates. It’s only .002/Kb in Canada for using your data.
