Review: HTC THunderbolt – Verizon’s first 4G LTE Android smartphone is a monster

A quick hands-on review of the HTC Thunderbolt from Verizon, the carrier’s very first 4G LTE certified Android phone. This review focuses on the hardware of the Thunderbolt. It has a 4.3-inch display, WiFi, 4G data, GPS, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash.

Speedtest is SOOOOOOOOO freakin unaccurate when using the app on phones. You need to use it from a browser on your pc for it to be accurate.

Can it do what the Droid does? Free GPS Navagation, and can you use EasyTether with this phone?

I kind of wish I got this phone instead of the iPhone, now that I have an iPhone I start appreciating android layout a little more.

@Dakellymonster Mine is 300 also, but it’s connected to 25 megabit cable internet. This is hauling for a phone. Faster than most home broadband. How fast is the internet that’s connected to your Netgear?

Look like a good phone but also looks like abit much.. the structure of the phone compared to the iPhone4 is somewhat complicated? and the home screen seems to have to many options? iPhone4 has simplicity. Good review tho :) I thumbs’d it up :D

  • TheSilentNoobs October 7, 2011 at 9:37 am

@GBVendettaGB You DO realize that the upload/download speeds really have nothing to do with the computer/phone itself… just the connection.

Ugliest hands yet i’ve seen on a Thunderbolt review. This guy has NO chance of ever being a hand model.
