As Android has evolved, it has appeared in more or less every market niche out there, from ‘beginner’ to high-end phones. Let’s have a look at the greatest Android mobiles currently available in each sector.

Sony Ericsson X10 Mini

We start by taking a look at a phone for customers who would like to buy a smartphone, but do not want a oversized handset or an expensive phone: the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini. As should be apparent from the handset’s name, the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is a shrunken version of the full-sized X10. The manufacturer has taken the good stuff the X10, and compressed it into a new body which makes the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini, considering it is a smartphone, incredibly tiny. And so, for users who want to get a smartphone which is small enough to fit in the tightest pockets, the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is the handset to buy.

HTC Wildfire

Android is trying to take over the mid-range, as well, and its new home is the beautiful HTC Wildfire. This handset has all the exciting features that made its more powerful brother (the HTC Desire) good, but places all those good bits in a more compact, more affordable frame, that manages to remain both sleek and beautiful. Needless to say, having been put in this mid-range body means that the HTC Wildfire has not got the 1GHz processor of the Desire, but it still performs beautifully. You also get the Sense UI, built into the HTC Wildfire, once more like its larger brother. Based around that reasoning, if you need a phone that is very much like the Desire when it comes to specs, but which is considerably cheaper, then the HTC Wildfire is the one to go for.

Samsung Galaxy S

So, you’ve got the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini which has a super-small body, and then there is the HTC Wildfire, the mid-range successor to the HTC Desire. And finally you’ve got the high-end superphone, the Samsung Galaxy S, with the biggest screen of any phone on this list. Coming in at a enormous 4 inches, it is simply gigantic, and the WVGA, 800×480 resolution means that it is so very easy to use the touch controls on the screen. Sitting atop the operating system, the interface is built around Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. It is wonderfully simple to use, and while it isn’t as sublime (but then, what is?) as HTC’s Sense UI, it ( along with the lightning fast 1GHz Hummingbird chip) is the big reason why the Samsung Galaxy S is such an unmitigated joy to use. Of course, it’s not all about raw power, a phone has got to have captivating features and the Samsung Galaxy S has a wealth of cool features, from the 5MP camera, and GPS, to super fast HSDPA internet access ( and Google’s incredible WebKit browser), and that is why a lot users say that this is one of the most impressive mobile phones that has ever been made.

The first smart phone that I really fell in love with was the Blackberry. I loved it so much that I never thought I would see the day, I would go to another phone. Blackberry factor for me was very friendly to women. There were two great things that appealed to me, girl, but came in different colors and can also buy hard shell cases, a change with my moods. the other was that offered a full keyboard, with raised letters and spacing great. Women with acrylic nails I know what Im saying. Writing e-mails and text messages were very quick and easy.
At the end of my relationship with my BlackBerry, I started gettting some operational problems, and began a new phone. Android has been a year and I am aware of cool, new applications and will not be able to download if I stayed with a BlackBerry. I would go to the Android before, but there were no girlie phone and there I had some specific needs as well. G1 has been completely excluded as the chin difficult for me to write. Keyboard, the G1 and 3G myTouch not help, because the capacitive screen display. My previous experience with the phone running Windows Mobile(T-Mobile Wing) was good, because you can use nails instead of the stylus on the screen resistive. You will see Motorola Cliq. This would be the most attractive phone that I could find with Android on it.
I have not visited the shop to try Cliq, before buying it, because I do not want to over analyze functions of the phone and find I do not like. I liked the idea of the keyboard without the beard and the camera was very increase this, in my BlackBerry. After several months, I can safely say that I am definitely not in love with this phone. Do not get me wrong, I love Android. In fact, applications are what keep me back to the BlackBerry.
I feel like Im using the phone man. Call me picky, but I do not like that it is only in the Winter White and Titan. The phone is quite bulky and quite heavy. This phone is thinner, I would expect more of raised buttons or something easier for me to write quickly. I know it sounds like I hate this phone or that I would not recommend it to others, but this is not the case. Just not for me and for my needs.
I have looked at other carriers and do not see anything that really appeals to me. I believe that the robot is actually ugly and no personality. I know that everything you can do inside, but outside is very similar to the window and the cold. All Android phones Ive seen so far, or capacitive touch screens do not have a full keyboard.

I remember the upcoming HTC named Salsa . For me this is an excellent design. At least from what I can tell in the pictures. This would be a step in the quality of the camera, but Id give that up for a 4-row QWERTY keyboard, directional pad, and a full touch screen. It looks like a BlackBerry to me and I love it.
For now, I continue to put up with my Motorola Cliq and salsa waiting for something to come. In the meantime, I see some Android phones on the horizon that appeal to men and / or uninformed. For this, I mean that I did not even know there are two types of display resistive and capacitive. I learned hard way that not all screens can be used with your fingernail. I can imagine someone, the carrier intends to buy tomorrow, the latest and greatest and end up with something that does not fit into them, as it should. With time, however, this problem should disappear as more carriers and phone manufacturers introduced new products with unique features and designs.
I guess in the end, I just wish I had more opportunities as a woman at this time. Android is now almost one and a half years and I feel like my demographic is irrelevant. I would like to sit in some of these focus groups or test products for companies such as Motorola and HTC. I think we can learn something more about what we girls want to be on the phone.

I have a black berry curve and im starting to get a little sick of it… I just got it refurbished so i could go a few more months with it… I am interested in the HTC EVO 4G but if there is a new phone out there and seems better or nicer then I would not mind waiting a little bit…

If anyone knows anything… Hit me up with good answers THANKSSS

Yes there are.. that’s the obvious answer, but as for beast phones.. that is unknown they normally have their great devices at CTIA which is in March I believe.. (The other electronics events are CES and MWC) the only device announced I think is the Kyocera Echo.. a Dual-Touch-Screen Android Device.. it has 2 – 3.5in capacitive screens, run by a 1st Generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (I believe.. which would be the same as the Evo’s and Incredible’s.. which are slow in comparison to the new stuff coming out.)

You are a lucky man Kevin,

Friday June 4th is when the HTC EVO 4G is released on Sprint. From everything I’m hearing it’s the most powerful Smart phone coming out in the U.S>

Just off the top of my head, EVO4g 8MP camera and a 1.3 MP camera on the front for video chatting. EVO4G has the 4G network (Depending on where you live, if you don’t have it now, most likely it will be there by the end of the year, we get ours in 2 weeks)
I know that the EVO 4G allows you to talk and surf the internet at the same time,

The EVO 4G has a 4.3 inch screen to use, to me that means better touch pad typing (I have big hands/fingers) and better screen to watch Video on, plus it has Flash support especially with the 2.2. update coming soon.

The EVO 4G ships with 1GB of internal memory and a 8GB card that can be expanded up to 32GB (heard that it’s possible that an update will allow the phone to recognize 64GB but it hasn’t been confirmed) so depending on your storage needs,

It’s running Android 2.1 with HTC Sense on top of it, I believe that root has been achieved and they are working on porting 2.2 (Fro yo) to the EVO shortly. If you don’t root or anything HTC has said that they will be updating The phone this year.

Processors….. EVO 4G has the 1GHZ snapdragon processor,

The EVO 4G also has HD video recording,HD-MI output, free GPS, the ability to become a hotspot for 8 devices at the speed of a home network.

New customers can get the phone for $ 199 after a $ 100 rebate. Best buy and radio shack offer instant rebates while Sprint does the mail in.

The other two phones I know about on sprint are the Samsung Hero and the Samsung Moment, they’re both Android phones from last year, I think they’re running Android 1.6 (they may have been updated by now but not sure. The only difference between them is that one has a hardware keyboard and one is just touchscreen

By, 2009, Sony Ericsson became the 4′th largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world as the sales of it’s products increased by many fold with the inclusion of Sony’s Walkman and Cyber-shot brands in the phones. Digital photography and other multimedia capabilities have been the forte of Sony Ericsson mobile phones and they have been constantly giving competition to other successful models from rival companies. Sony Ericsson was also the first to announce and release world’s first 8 mega pixel and 12 mega pixel camera-phones in the market. It’s latest devices are high-performance handsets that come along with some of the best features and integrate the best in current technologies. To more more about what makes Sony Ericsson handsets so popular, let us go through some of the latest releases.

Announced in November, 2009, the XPERIA X10 is one of the latest touch-phones and definitely one of the top class products among Sony Ericsson mobile phones. This is the first Android based phone from Sony Ericsson and includes a large 4 inches touchscreen which is particularly suitable for web-browsing, playing videos as well as SatNav. Built-in is a GPS receiver that synchronises with the included Google Maps application. Essentially it is a quad-band GSM based phone but it also supports 3G service network. Users will be delighted to find almost all of the advanced features in the phone that includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G HSDPA, Multimedia player, Email and an 8 mega pixel camera.

Next up on the list is the Sony Ericsson Satio which was recently released in October, 2009. This is the world’s first phone to include a 12MP camera and technologically one of the best products from Sony Ericsson. Supporting a quad-band GSM reception and 3G network this handset comes loaded with a 3.5 inches touchscreen. This Symbian device comes with excellent multi-media capabilities and includes a special PowerVR SGX graphics accelerator for enhanced quality in display and imaging.
